What Matters
Founder & CEO

Community First
Strong communities start with listening. I’m committed to showing up in every neighborhood, hearing your stories, and turning that feedback into action. From attending local meetings to holding listening sessions, I’ll bring your voice to the table—because every corner of Kalamazoo deserves to be seen, heard, and supported.

Inclusive Economic Growth
As a small business owner, I understand the hurdles entrepreneurs face. I’ll work to expand access to resources, streamline processes, and support programs that help local businesses not only survive, but thrive—whether they’re on the mall, in a neighborhood corridor, or just starting out.

Sustainable Solutions
I believe sustainability should be practical, affordable, and rooted in community. I’ll support policies that reduce waste, promote clean energy, and invest in walkable, bike-friendly infrastructure—helping Kalamazoo lead with both innovation and care for future generations.

Affordable Housing & Unhoused Services
Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. I’ll support collaborative, compassionate efforts to expand affordable housing, protect renters, and connect our unhoused neighbors with the services they need to stabilize and thrive.

Community Safety
From public safety to prevention, I believe in a holistic approach. That means addressing root causes like poverty and addiction, supporting violence reduction programs, and making sure all neighborhoods—regardless of zip code—feel safe and supported.

Civic Collaboration
No one person or commission can do this work alone. I believe in partnerships—between government, residents, nonprofits, and businesses—to get things done. I’ll be a commissioner who listens, learns, and leads through connection, not division.
